Laramie County Community College was founded in 1968. The college has campuses in Cheyenne and Laramie, as well as outreach centers at F.E. Warren Air Force Base and in Pine Buffs, Wyo. It provides a range of academic, career/technical and community education programs. Students can earn associate degrees and certificates that prepare them for work after graduation or continued study at a four-year institution. Many students also enroll in noncredit life enrichment classes.
Laramie County Community College offers 76 associate degree programs and 25 career programs that lead to certificates of completion. For the past five years it has offered several of its programs through distance learning. Programs that are offered online, as well as on campus, include accounting, business management, computer information systems, government studies, homeland security, and psychology. There are also a variety of classes offered online. Courses may be completely online or in a hybrid format, which requires students to spend time online and in the classroom.
Laramie County Community College has been regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1975.
