Formerly known as Northern Arizona College of Health Careers, College America operates six main and branch campus locations in Wyoming, Colorado, and Arizona. Its Wyoming location was launched in Cheyenne, the state capital, in February 2005. In addition to its campus locations, College America also provides online education opportunities in many of its programs. The school specializes in business, technical, and medical training at the undergraduate level.
College America-Cheyenne provides career training for nontraditional students. It awards 15 associate and bachelor’s degrees in a variety of core subjects. Areas of study include healthcare, business, information technology, and graphic arts. Many programs can be completed entirely online. Depending on the degree, programs take anywhere from 15 to 36 months to complete.
College America-Cheyenne has been accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges since 2005.
The college’s admissions process begins by visiting the campus and filling out a career questionnaire. Applicants will also meet with a financial planner to go over the financial aid process and tuition assistance options, and an admissions consultant to review the career questionnaire and find the degree program that’s right for them. Lastly, they’ll interview with the director of admissions to receive approval. Online students can complete this admissions process over the phone.
