Fox Valley Technical College has been providing workforce development training in Appleton, Wis., since 1912. According to the school, it is the largest district in the state in terms of student enrollment, serving about 50,000 students. This includes degree, diploma, certificate, and apprenticeship programs, as well as continuing education courses and high school completion programs. Eighty-eight percent of 2011 graduates were employed six months after graduation. The largest employers of Fox Valley graduates are in health-care, education, and education organizations.
Fox Valley Technical College awards associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates, and apprenticeships, in more than 200 programs. Students can enroll in programs such as agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources; aviation; business, management, and finance; construction; culinary and hospitality; engineering, and electronic-related technologies; health science; human services; information technology; law enforcement and public safety; manufacturing; marketing, sales, and service; printing technologies; transportation; and general, individualized, and global studies. These programs prepare students for work upon graduation or continued study at a four-year college or university. Fox Valley Technical College also offers a select number of online courses through Blackboard.
Fox Valley Technical College has been regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1974.
Applicants must complete and submit an online application and pay a $30 fee for admission to Fox Valley Technical College. Additional requirements will vary by department. Some programs may require an official copy of the applicant’s high school transcript, GED/HSED transcript, or college transcripts, if applicable. Most degree and diploma programs also require a skills assessment.
