Vermont Technical College is a public institution with campuses in Randolph Center and Williston, Vt. It is the only technical college in the state. According to the school, at least 98% of its graduates either find job placement or continue their education within six months of graduating. Vermont Technical College is recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best colleges in the North.
Vermont Technical College offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, and certificates in a number of disciplines, particularly in the areas of engineering, science, and technology. Some unique degree programs include Aviation: Professional Pilot Technology, Sustainable Design and Technology, and Equine Studies. Several degree programs can also be completed via distance education through Vermont Tech Online. Online degrees include an R.N. to BSN completion program, a bachelor’s degree in applied business management, and an associate degree in dental hygiene. Numerous online courses are also offered.
Vermont Technical College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
Vermont Technical College operates on a rolling admissions basis. Students can apply to the school to enter almost any semester in the academic year. To apply, students must complete an application online, which will prompt them for other materials required to complete their file, including an application fee, letters of recommendation, official transcripts, and official SAT or ACT test scores. Students are also evaluated based on their extracurricular activities.
