Snow College is a public institution located in Ephriam, a rural area of Utah. It was first established as a private institution by the Church of Jesus Christ for Latter-Day Saints in 1888, but became a publicly funded institution in 1932. Approximately 3,000 students attend Snow College today. The school offers certificate programs and associate degrees, including college transfer programs for students transitioning to four-year degree programs and Associate of Applied Science programs in select fields of study.
Snow College offers associate degree programs in business, humanities, fine arts and communications, natural science and mathematics, and social and behavioral sciences. Some degree programs include farm and ranch management, English as a Second Language, communications, engineering, and home and family studies. The school also offers a number of courses through distance learning. Students can take online courses in almost every discipline offered at Snow College. However, students should reference the school’s website for updated information about current course offerings. Some continuing education classes are also offered online.
Snow College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. It has held this accreditation since 1953.
To apply to Snow College, entering freshmen must submit their admissions application, $30 application fee, official high school transcripts, and SAT or ACT test scores directly to the Office of Admissions. There is no application deadline at Snow College. However, students should apply as early as possible before registration to ensure they can enroll in their desired courses available for that semester. Students applying for scholarships also must submit their applications by March 1, whether they are new, returning, or transfer students. Once students receive confirmation of their acceptance, they can begin applying for financial aid and registering for classes.
