LeTourneau University is a private, interdenominational Christian university in Longview, Texas. Established as a technical school in 1946, LeTourneau has grown into a nationally ranked master’s level university with strong programs in engineering, technology, the liberal arts, business, aeronautical science, education and the sciences. The school is not affiliated with any particular religious denomination but maintains a strong commitment to the Christian faith and its integration into all aspects of life and thought.

LeTourneau was ranked tenth in The Best Colleges ranking of the 10 Best Colleges and Universities in Texas for 2011-2012. The school has also been ranked among the top comprehensive master’s level universities by U.S. News & World Report.
Having begun as a technical school, LeTourneau’s core disciplines are technology, engineering, computer science and aeronautics, but programs are also offered in education, business, the liberal arts and various professions. The majority of LeTourneau students are undergraduates, but the university offers degrees up to the master’s level. The most popular undergraduate majors are in engineering, transportation and materials moving, business, management, and marketing. The student-to-faculty ratio is 23:1.
Admissions at LeTourneau are moderately competitive. About fifty eight percent of applicants were admitted in recent years. Either SAT or ACT scores are required. LeTourneau practices rolling admissions, so there is no deadline.
