National American University – Rapid City is a for-profit educational institution in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. It is well known in South Dakota for its wide variety of vocational and academic programs and degrees. The Rapid City location is the headquarters for the National American University network. National American University has campuses in cities all across the country, from Austin to Minnetonka. National American University is well-known for its online degree options as well as its on-campus programs. A significant portion of the school’s student body are enrolled in online programs with many of them at least taking online courses.
National American University offers a wealth of diploma, associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs that are highly relevant to workplace opportunities. Associate degrees range from accounting to veterinary technology. Bachelor’s degree programs include programs in information technology with various concentrations, business with multiple emphasis options, criminal justice and many more. Students hoping to earn a graduate degree from National American University can choose from an MBA Program, Master of Management (MM), and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Many of the university’s traditional programs are also available through online courses and distance learning. Diploma programs in healthcare coding, massage therapy, veterinary technician training, and more are also offered.

To apply for an undergraduate, associate, or diploma program with National American University, students must submit an application and a transcript from their high school or approved institution. The transcript serves as proof of attendance as well as a survey of academic performance at that school. Admission is open to adult, high school, transfer, military, and international students. Requirements are degree-specific for the university’s graduate programs. However, applications to the MBA program must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least 2.75 GPS from their undergraduate work. Applicants to the master’s of nursing program must be registered nurses and hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.
