Salve Regina University is a Catholic liberal arts college that was founded in Newport, R.I., in 1934. In 2011, Salve Regina University had an enrollment of approximately 2,500 students. The U.S. News & World Report ranked the school 38th on their list of the top regional universities in the north. Its graduate-level programs in rehabilitation counseling were also recognized for their quality.
