Clackamas Community College is a public two-year institution located in Oregon City, Ore. This school was founded in 1966 and initially operated out of Gladstone High School. Today, CCC serves nearly 8,000 area students. In addition to the main campus, the Harmony Community and Wilsonville campuses also provide educational opportunities in the surrounding areas. Certificate and associate degree programs are available for students with a wide range of academic interests and goals.

Programs Offered

Clackamas Community College offers a number of programs that may appeal to students interested in developing their technical skills, as well as those who want to continue on at a four-year college or university. Areas of study include horticulture, water and environmental technology, digital media communications, web design, accounting, business management, project management, dental assisting, emergency medical technology, human resource management, criminal justice, fire science, and geographic information systems technology, to name a few. Distance learning programs are also available for those looking for increased flexibility in their curriculum, such as working adults and military families. Online classes are offered in art, criminal justice, business administration, English, and sociology, among others.

Accreditation

Clackamas Community College has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1971. In addition, the school’s nursing programs have received specialized accreditation from the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission.

Admissions

Students interested in enrolling at Clackamas Community College can complete the admissions form available online. There is also a downloadable version of the application available if students prefer to apply via standard mail. Official high school transcripts or GED test scores must be sent to the admissions office as well. The school has an open admissions policy, but it is important to note that some programs have additional admissions standards.
