Central Oregon Community College is a public two-year institution located in Bend, Ore. The school was initially established in 1955 to serve the educational and economic needs of Deschutes, Jefferson, and Crook counties. COCC currently has an enrollment of more than 7,000 students. Additional school locations include Redmond, Madras, and Prineville. Certificate and associate degree programs are available in a range of academic and technical fields. Programs Offered

With more than 30 career-training programs and a variety of transfer options, students with a wide range of career goals will find opportunities at Central Oregon Community College. Available majors include, but are not limited to, accounting, allied health, biology, computer and information systems, criminal justice, economics, engineering, health information technology, journalism, nursing, pharmacy technology, psychology, and social science. Select classes are also offered online to help fit the busy schedules of working adults and non-traditional students. These include classes in art, health care, business, foreign language, education, and technology.


Central Oregon Community College has been accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities since 1966. The school’s program in dental assisting has also received specialized accreditation from the American Dental Association.


Students looking to register for classes at Central Oregon Community College can submit their application online or in person at any campus location. There is a $25 application fee due at the time of submission. In addition to this form, students should request that their official high school transcripts or GED test results be sent to the school’s admissions office. COCC has an open admissions policy, but some programs may have additional standards that applicants must meet. Once students have been admitted, they will need to complete placement testing and an advising session before registering for classes.
