Founded in Phoenix, Ariz. in 1978, West International University offers a wide range of business and technology programs designed to prepare students for the global marketplace. Through three campuses, a student service center, and Salt River Project Classrooms, adult learners can take advantage of flexible degree programs, dynamic learning opportunities, and beneficial student services. In addition to in-person education programs, West also gives students the option to learn online. West Interactive Online offers stimulating learning experiences that make learning easy and effective. Students are connected to a live classroom in real time, enabling them to get the classroom experience without the travel.
Programs Offered
West offers one associate, 10 bachelor’s, and nine master’s degree programs. The Associate of Arts in Business program not only educates students on the fundamentals of business environments, but also requires them to fulfill general education requirements that are applicable in most bachelor’s degree programs. Bachelor of Arts degrees can be earned in behavioral science, HR management, criminal behavior, legal studies, and professional communication. Bachelor of Science degrees are available in areas such as business, informatics IT, management, and accounting. In addition, West offers a certificate in accountancy program for bachelor’s degree holders who wish to learn more about the field of finance or seek preparation for the Certified Public Accountant exam.
For those pursuing an advanced education, West has business-focused master’s degree programs, including a Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Arts degrees in innovative leadership or human dynamics. MBA programs are also available in concentrations like business administration, finance, international business, management, and marketing.

West is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the Higher Learning Commission.
Admissions
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis as courses begin each month. However, West encourages students to apply well in advance of their desired start date to ensure there is enough time to process application materials. Undergraduate admission requires applicants to be high school graduates of a regionally accredited or state licensed institution or have earned a GED. Those who have completed at least 12 college credits must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 college GPA, while those who have completed less than 12 credits must have a minimum 2.5 high school GPA. Applicants are responsible for submitting a completed West application for admission and a signed request form for official college or high school transcripts or GED exam scores.
Those applying to master’s degree programs must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in which they achieved a minimum 2.75 GPA. Those who are using a previous graduate degree for admission must have achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA. A completed application packet will include a completed West application for admission and a signed request form for official transcripts.
