Southern New Hampshire University, or SNHU, has one of New England’s largest distance-learning programs. Students can take classes online or enjoy a hybrid of classes online and at the school’s main campus in Manchester, or at one of its four continuing education centers in New Hampshire and Maine. The school has earned GetEducated.com, Best Buy, and the New Hampshire Business Best Online Degree awards. It also was noted as a top military-friendly school and as a U.S. News & World Report Tier 1 university.
At SNHU, students can pursue more than 80 online undergraduate and graduate certificate programs in business, education, hospitality, community economic development, and liberal arts. The school prides itself on its options â€“ there are even more than 40 specialized MBA programs.
SNHU has been regionally accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges since 1973.
Admission to SNHU occurs on a rolling basis. Requirements vary by program. To be considered for the undergraduate degree program, prospective students must submit an application, a form attesting to high school or GED certificate completion, and transcripts of any college-level work completed. Applicants must also meet minimum requirements on the TOEFL test. Those interested in graduate-level study must submit an application, undergraduate transcript, and resume. An interview is recommended, though not required. Applicants must also meet a minimum score on the TOEFL test. The GRE or GMAT are not required.
