U.S. News & World Report ranked Quinnipiac University as 11th out of north regional universities that offer undergraduate and master’s degrees in 2012. Quinnipiac has also been listed as one of the best schools in the northeast by The Princeton Review.
Quinnipiac University offers 53 undergraduate programs and 20 graduate programs. Of these programs, 11 degrees and three certificates are offered through Quinnipiac’s online university. Both the campus-based and online programs are taught by skilled and knowledgeable faculty with experience in their fields. With a student ratio of 16:1, classes are small and students are given the individualized attention they need to succeed. The online graduate degree programs include master’s degrees in business administration, health care, health science, interactive media, organizational leadership, teacher leader ship, and more. Certificate programs include biology, advanced study in occupational therapy, and sexual assault nurse examiner certificates. For students who opt to receive their education the traditional way, the option to take certain individual courses over the Internet and the rest in a classroom is available.
Quinnipiac University has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges since 1958. Many of its programs are also individually accredited, as shown on the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator.
The first step in applying to Quinnipiac’s online university is speaking with an admissions representative. These staff members answer questions and help guide candidates through the application process. Once that is completed, prospective students must fill out an online application. Specific application requirements vary based on the department to which students are applying, however, most departments require an application fee, transcripts, resumes, and letters of intent. Business programs require students to take the GMAT exam. To see a complete list of requirements for each online program, visit Quinnipiac’s website. The final step in admissions is speaking with a financial aid counselor to learn about the financial aid process.
