Everest College Phoenix Online
Everest College Phoenix is a private, for-profit institution of higher learning based out of Phoenix, Ariz. The college offers classes in criminal justice, business, and nursing at its two campuses in Phoenix and Mesa, as well as online, to its student population of about 5,660. It’s a part of the Everest College system, which has campuses across the United States and Canada.
Programs Offered
The school confers 10 associate and bachelor’s degrees in accounting, criminal justice, and other fields related to business, health care, and law at two campuses. Specialized diplomas, which teach the basics of a certain field of study, are available in medical insurance and billing and in medical assistance. The associate in accounting, criminal investigations, criminal justice, and business, as well as the bachelor’s in business administration and in criminal justice are offered online. Online classes are a viable option for the student who is working full time and going to school. He or she can complete their class work in their own time, and they can set their own schedule without worrying about being late for a class.
Accreditation
The Everest College Phoenix system has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1997. It is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education.
Admissions
Applicants to the college have to meet one of three requirements. They must have an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, be a graduate of an accredited high school, or have a GED certificate. Applicants who meet those standards can complete an online application form, after which they will be contact by an admissions counselor.
