Crown College is a faith-based institution that was founded in 1916 with only four students. It soon evolved into a training school, acquiring more students and a greater focus toward missionary and ministry preparation. Today, Crown College has expanded to offer over 40 degree programs, all of which incorporate bible studies. The mission of the college is to promote leadership and to show students how they can go on to use the skills they acquire from education in impacting the world around them. Crown College provides some course work and degree programs over the Internet for students that require a flexible schedule. The online classes are held to the same standard as the campus-based classes. The college is a member of multiple professional associations as well, which assist students with networking and finding job opportunities.
Crown College offers a wide variety of majors from which students can choose. The college has associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and certificate programs. Majors include ministry studies, general studies, business administration, counseling and psychology, Christian studies, international leadership studies, and organizational leadership. Students have the option of pursuing their majors on the physical campus or completing them online. The college of adult and graduate studies, in particular, offers degrees entirely through an online program. In addition to academic programs, Crown College has many opportunities for outside activities, such as community service, outreach, and athletic programs.
Crown College has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1980. In continuing to hold that recognition, Crown College has proven that it is dedicated to providing a high standard of education to its students.
Students are admitted into Crown College twice a year. The fall term starts mid-August and the spring term starts in February. Orientation takes place two weeks before the beginning of the term. All students must submit an application and an application fee.
