Bay Path College

Founded in 1897 in Longmeadow, Mass., Bay Path College now has three campuses throughout the state. This institution is a private, women’s college, although, they do have some graduate programs that are open to men as well. In addition to traditional, on-campus courses, Bay Path has an online division offering several degree programs. The college also strives to help improve the community by hosting events, educating the public, and working with community organizations and residents.

Programs Offered.

Bay Path College offers undergraduate degree programs in 21 different areas, including forensic psychology, interior design, and biotechnology. They offer 11 master’s degree programs, including a Master of Occupational Therapy and Master of Science in Strategic Fundraising and Philanthropy, a degree unique to Bay Path. They also offer graduate certificate programs in 12 areas, including nonprofit management, institutional advancement, and organizational development. Some of their programs are available online. Bay Path has developed a One-Day-A-Week Saturday College with undergraduate programs that are completed two, six-week courses at a time, year-round. This program was developed to enable working women who don’t have time to attend a classroom during the week to earn a degree.


Bay Path College gained institutional accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education in 1965. In addition to this, the college’s occupational therapy program gained specialized accreditation from the American Occupational Therapy Association, Accreditation council for Occupational Therapy Education in 1999.


Bay Path has rolling admissions and requires applicants to have completed the SAT or ACT and submit their scores when applying. However, the specific admissions requirements vary depending on the program you plan to enroll in. For example, the online master’s degree in nonprofit management and philanthropy program requires applicants to have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, two letters of recommendation, and pay an application fee. The online bachelor’s degree in leadership and organizational studies program requires applicants to have an associate degree or at least 60 transferable college credits, submit their resume, and pay an application fee. Applicants for the Saturday College must complete the One-Day-A-Week application packet.
