A college by educators, for educators, American College of Education is unique in its mission to address the learning needs of professional educators. While the beginnings of this institution can be traced back more than 150 years, ACE was formally incorporated in 2005. Ever since, teachers, administrators, and other school professionals from all around the country have had the opportunity to advance their education in education through its online graduate degree programs.
This institution of higher education offers online graduate degrees to help educators expand their career horizons and learn how to be more effective educators. All programs are offered completely through distance education so that educational professionals can participate in professional development while teaching. ACE provides M.Ed. programs in educational leadership, educational technology, and curriculum and instruction. The M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction program offers four concentrations and two specializations, including digital learning and teaching; common core mathematics standards; literacy instruction; teaching science; bilingual education; and English as a second language.
ACE is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, it has approval to provide degree programs through distance education.
ACE has rolling admissions, meaning that once accepted you can enroll with the next cohort of students. As ACE is a graduate school, all applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution of higher education in which they had at least a 2.75 GPA. Prospective students must submit a completed application, official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities, documentation of professional teaching or school services certificate, and proof of completion of all state certification requirements.
