Located in the state’s capital city, Oklahoma State University’s Oklahoma City campus serves more than 7,000 students. This branch of the four-year public university was established in 1961 as Oklahoma State University Technical Institute, but became known by its current name in 1990. Students can enroll in certificate, associate, and bachelor’s degree programs in a variety of academic areas. OSU also offers online classes and degree programs to provide flexibility for working adults and non-traditional students.

Programs Offered

Students at OSU – Oklahoma City can choose from a wide range of undergraduate programs. Some examples of available majors include horticulture technology, veterinary technology, public service, accounting, management, emergency medical services, applied technology, engineering technology, and nursing science. Individuals interested in pursuing online education also have options through OSU’s Oklahoma City Campus. Distance learning programs include public service, business technologies, health care administration, management, and police science. These programs allow students to balance full-time jobs and family responsibilities while working toward a degree.


Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1975. In addition, the school has earned specialized accreditation for their programs in dietetics and nursing.


OSU – Oklahoma City has an open admissions policy. However, students must still complete the proper application form and submit all documentation to be allowed to register. The application is available online, but can be submitted via standard mail as well. Students must also submit their official high school transcripts, ACT test scores, and proof of immunization records (if they are planning to attend any classes on campus). Students who graduated high school through a GED program are also eligible to apply and just need to submit proof of completion. Please note that non-residents will need to pay an application fee.
