Founded in 1961, Clovis Community College was originally a campus of Eastern New Mexico University. The school became an independent community college in 1990. Today, Clovis Community College serves nearly 4,000 students through its eastern New Mexico campus. Students can choose from a variety of career-focused educational programs. Those interested in distance learning opportunities will also find online classes available at CCC.

Programs Offered

Students enrolled at Clovis Community College can choose from a number of career-training programs including automotive technology, business administration, emergency medical services, industrial technology, and welding. Students hoping to transfer their credits to a four-year institution at some point may also be interested in programs like psychology, education, and liberal arts. Working adults and non-traditional students can also take advantage of CCC’s online courses, which provide an asynchronous learning environment. This means students can access the online classroom at any time and from any location where they have internet access. The school’s learning management system for online course work is called Canvas.

Accreditation

Clovis Community College has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1987. In addition, the school has achieved specialized accreditation status for its programs in radiologic technology and nursing.

Admissions

The majority of the CCC’s programs fall under the school’s open admissions policy. However, some allied health programs require students to meet certain admissions standards. All degree-seeking students will need to request their official high school or GED transcripts be sent to the Office of Admissions and Records. The rest of the application process can be completed online. There is no application fee required. Once students are notified of admission, they can meet with an academic advisor to review financial aid and scheduling options.
