Hesser College is a private, for-profit college that was founded in 1900. Originally known as the Hesser Business College, the school still believes in its founding principles of providing educational opportunities for every citizen. In 2001, the college was granted the right to award bachelor’s degrees. In addition, the college has expanded to include several locations throughout New Hampshire. Through the college, students can participate in apprenticeships and internships that give them real-world experience in their desired markets.

Programs Offered

Hesser College offers students associate and bachelor’s degrees in business administration and criminal justice. Students can either earn a degree or participate in a degree completion program depending on where they are academically. Hesser delivers all programs through The Learning Sphere. This online learning platform utilizes cloud techniques and allows students to access their assignments from any computer that is connected to the Internet. Students will be able to attend class and complete their assignments when it fits into their schedule. In addition to the online learning environment, Hesser College offers students Hesser Apps. These are tools that let students create, store, and share documents, presentations, and podcasts. In addition, students will receive 24/7 technological support for any of their technological needs.


The New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, accredited Hesser College in 2006.


Applicants to Hesser College must be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate. Upon applying, students must provide a transcript showing completion of course work, GPA, and class rank. All applicants are required to complete an informational interview prior to admission. In addition, applicants will be judged on their high school performance, extracurricular activities, job performance, community involvement, the interview, and other personal qualifications that might help with the process.
