Located in Henderson, Nev., The International Academy of Design & Technology – Las Vegas traces its roots back to 1977. Originally a branch of the International Academy of Merchandising and Design, the institution was officially established in 2003 as a private, for-profit school. The school provides associate and bachelor’s degrees to students in the state and offers distance learning courses to students beyond Nevada’s borders. Although it’s younger than a decade old, the school serves more than 700 students \and maintains a low student-faculty ratio of 19:1, providing individualized attention for students. Since the International Academy of Design & Technology’s (IADT) campuses are part of the consortium agreement with IADT Online, students can choose to complete their courses in the traditional or online format.
The International Academy of Design & Technology offers online and blended learning options. Students can choose which courses in their degree program they want to complete entirely online or partially online. Five associate and seven bachelor’s degree programs are available to be completed entirely online for distance learners. Although they’re more flexible in completion and delivery, these programs share the quality and rigor of their traditional counterparts. The school provides the tools necessary for students to achieve success.
The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools has accredited the International Academy of Design & Technology since 2004.
The admissions requirements for freshman include a completed application, proof of high school diploma or GED, payment of application fee, and additional forms. Students transferring credit from previous higher education institutes must submit transcripts from previously attended colleges or universities. The International Academy of Design & Art determines credit equivalency by the requirements specific to the applicant’s intended program of entry.
