The Art Institute of Las Vegas was founded as the Interior Design Institute in 1983. Today, the private for-profit institution serves more than 1,200 students at its 45,000-square-foot campus near Las Vegas, Nev. Areas of study include design, media arts, fashion, and culinary arts.
Students can choose to complete many of their courses in the online format through the Art Institute of Las Vegas’ distance learning platform. The online classes can be taken by students attending the campus, but many include students throughout the Art Institutes System. Most online courses are accelerated to 5 « weeks long but contain the same content and assignments as traditional classes. This allows students the opportunity to complete their degree quicker. Digital textbooks deliver the curriculum of the online programs, saving students money and providing an easier method of transporting study materials. Free tutoring services and online resources help distance learners succeed in the virtual environment. For additional information about online learning at the institute, click here.
