Programs Offered

The online degree programs offered by Columbia College enable students to participate in classes at their own pace, giving them the opportunity to earn a higher education while working full time or fulfilling family obligations. Courses are taught in eight-week sessions with five sessions offered each year. Complete degrees are offered at the associate, bachelor’s, and master’s level in a variety of study areas, such as business administration, computer science, criminal justice, and much more. There are two primary components of the online courses: the syllabus and the discussion forum. During each session, students are given a syllabus detailing the expectations for each course. Student-teacher and student-student interactions take place primarily in the discussion format, providing a simulated classroom environment. Assignments and tests are conducted remotely with results posted online for easy viewing.

Columbia College is accredited to award degrees by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Specialized accreditation was awarded by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission for Columbia College’s associate nursing programs.
