Anne Arundel Community College is a two-year public institution located in Arnold, Md. The school was established in 1961. In addition to the main campus, the college operates in Arundel Mills Mall, the Center for Cyber and Professional Training, the Ft. Meade Education Center, the Glen Burnie Town Center, the Hotel, Culinary Arts and Tourism Institute, and the Sales and Service Training Center, as well as off campus locations throughout Maryland. AACC has a student population of 17,957 and a student-to-faculty ratio of 18 to 1.

Programs Offered

Anne Arundel Community College offers associate degree, credit certificate, continuing education, industrial credential, career enhancement, personal enrichment, and lifelong learning programs. Academic areas of study include addiction counseling, alternative and sustainable energy, architecture, astronomy, baking and pastry arts, biology, bookkeeper, business administration, chemistry, communications, culinary arts, dance, economics, electronic commerce, electrocardiogram and intravenous therapy technician, entrepreneurship, and environmental science. Career and certification programs are offered in areas including accounting technology, bartending, boiler operations, child care, construction, culinary, cosmetology, dental assisting, insurance, teaching, truck driving, welding, world language, and yoga instructor. Personal enrichment programs are available in areas including art, boating, driver education, motorcycle safety, photography, sign language, theater, and writing and publishing. AACC also features online and hybrid courses through its virtual campus.


The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has accredited Anne Arundel since 1968.


Prospective AACC students must submit an application form and their SAT or ACT scores for course placement. Students must also submit previous college transcripts or students may take College Level Examination Program (CLEP) or Pearson Vue tests. Students may apply online by creating an account. The online account also allows students to sign up for information sessions and campus tour events.
