Indiana

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education was created in 1971 to plan Indiana’s higher education system for the necessities of students and the state. Indiana’s plan for higher education, “Reaching Higher, Achieving More,” aims to prepare secondary education students for higher education, promote on-time post-secondary completion, increase performance funding, and expand quality assessments of the higher education system in Indiana. Indiana provides 40 campus options for higher learning, including public institutions such as Indiana University system, Ball State University, Indiana State University, and the Ivy Tech Community College system. Independent institutions include DePauw University, Butler University, the University of Notre Dame, Valparaiso University, and the University of Indianapolis.
