Georgia offers a number of top higher-learning institutions for students pursuing post-secondary education. The state is home to 62 public colleges, universities, and technical colleges, in addition to more than 45 private institutions. The state’s public colleges and universities are managed by the University System of Georgia. The state provides its residents with a helpful college guide aimed at helping students from middle school through adult, non-traditional students fulfill their education goals by providing information about higher learning institutions in the state, requirements for pursuing a degree, and information about financial aid. Georgia high school graduates can also benefit from the state’s HOPE program. The scholarship is funded by the state lottery and provides the state’s high school graduates who graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher with tuition assistance at any public college or university within the state.
