(a.k.a. Florida, UF, or U of F) is a public research university in Gainesville, Florida. Established in 1853, it is one of the largest single-campus universities in the country, with over 50,000 students. It is a member of the prestigious Association of American Universities (AAU).

Comprised of 16 different colleges and numerous research centers and institutes, the university offers over 100 undergraduate majors and over 200 graduate degrees. The school also has a highly regarded and extremely competitive Honors Program that offers over 100 different courses exclusively for students in the program.
