The Colorado School of Mines is one of the least mentioned schools in Colorado, and the Rocky Mountain Region.
It is a public research university devoted to engineering and applied science located in the town of Golden, Colorado. The school was originally founded in 1873 by the Episcopal Church, but in 1874 it was transferred to the Territory of Colorado. It became a state institution when Colorado attained statehood in 1876. – Source: Wikipedia
Colorado School of Mines is an amazing college if your focus is on science and engineering. It would be on par with MIT and other such esteemed school across the country.
Golden,Colorado is a great town to live in. It is home to the uber famous Coors Brewery. It is also located close to some of the greatest ski resorts around including Aspen,Vail, and Loveland.
While the School of Mines is a public facility it has an extensive and very difficult entrance process. If you are not dedicated to your field I wouldnt even bother applying.
